Slave cylinder question

this might be a stupid question, but i had to replace my clutch over the weekend. the car is not all back together yet but the slave cylinder is hooked back up to the trans and tube. i went to bleed the system to get the air out but when i pushed the pedal it went straight to the floor and didn't come back up. so i bleed the system about 5 or so times and the pedal never changed. i still have to pull it to get it up. am i doing something wrong. it all should work. there is enough fluid in the resivior. please help

Is the slave cylinder hooked onto the clutch fork? And you have to keep the brake fluid resiviour topped off the whole time while bleeding.

Did you overfill the resivoir? You have to fill it up really high in order to bleed it, had the same issue when I bleed mine.

I had a similar problem. My pedal would get stuck in the middle and wouldn't pop back up until I used my hands. I took it to the dealer and got my slave cylinder replaced. Now the problem is gone. I hope that helps.

Does it do this with the bleeder closed? The pedal not returning with the bleeder open is totally normal.
