I had the same problem with my 03 but that was bc my clutch was on its last leg and wasnt grabbing. Anyone have the same problem with 05's? Will an aftermarket clutch help with this? If not im gonna have to send my trans to TRE.

Huh? Why all caps? Ditch a perfectly new stock clutch why? My 124 hard launches and 1.69 60' must mean the stocker is junk? Go read the ACT thread and then post again about how good the ACT is. He should go Tilton or Exedy HD when he needs to 20Kmi+.

Miguel is a local I consult for and you sound like Julio from Chicago. Shift pattern and rpm avoidance is not sound advice. You should be able to drive a car without these symptoms. You can also do things to reduce or eliminate the symptoms. Short shifting is not the answer.

I will try everything you mentioned Scott, changing the SS clutch line, switch over to Pennzoil SM, under hood bushings, remove restrictor because I missed again from 1st to 2nd last night again after shifting past 7k!! I never miss in any other gear except that one. I will get a Tilton cluch as soon as my stocker goes, and most likely send my tranny to Jon at TRE because i dont want to keep having the same problems when im at the track.

What about adjusting the clutch pedal, which is the easiest to do and, in my experience, the most effective fix for 1-2 shift problems?

Did you have the same problem? Did it fix it when you adjusted the pedal? I will try that today

Restricted fluid transfer in the clutch line is a leading cause of a missed 1-2 shift as it is a fast shift. Faster than the clutch restrictor will allow the fluid to make it to the slave cylinder clutch fork rod.

Yes. I pulled the restrictor and it wasn't as bad, but it was still definitely there. Raising the engagement point on the clutch pedal to make sure that the clutch was fully disengaging was the real ticket.

I had alot of trouble shifting 1-2 at high rpm. Replaced the rear engine mount and tightened everything up, and haven't had any problems since.
