Problem!!

My buddys evo has the greddy profec b spec 2 set at 24 pounds. Current mods: Injen short ram with upper intercooler piping. dc down pipe with rs*r cat back 3inch turbo back. We ran the wideband on it, adjusted the air/fuel for high boost. I was On 95 4th gear around 3000rpm and at full throttle my car sputters (sort of a turbo surge) all the way up to around high 4000rpm. I had stock bov and switched to greddy bov type rs and still the same. I know 24 with stock fuel is not safe but on the wideband, seem to run good. Any suggestion would be great...thanks
p.s when i got on it 1st through 5th the cars runs great (no probelm) Only high gear low rpm pull.....

Sounds like you are running too much boost, I would try lowering the boost down a little, or upgrade your fuel system......

That studdering is probably your ecu pulling timing because of knock. Just because your a/f are ok doenst mean you arent going to knock.

yuo are absolutely right. Well first off i wouldn't go over 22 psi on 91 octane. Do you have atleast 660CC fuel injectors?? Walbro fuel pump?? You might to check your Spark plugs. My car does that before i can't even over 4,000rpm on any gear. Bought some NGK BPR7E spark plugs from RRE, gap it at .24 and car runing like a champ.

how much did you set your gain??? try to set it low, last time when EIPracing tuned my car they found the problem for me.
try to set under 8 that might sove your sputters
problem.
and 24psi you might hit the boost cut, so keep around 23 psi. or get the flash to rise the psi to 24.
my car is running 27psi all day long with ecutek flash and now the car has 60k miles no problem. and is been 2 years lol
