Cam install, more to install gears?

I got a quote to install cams at 4 hours labor. I said then oh yeah, I need cam gears installed too. They said that added 1 hour labor.

Does that sound like BS? I mean, you have to take off the stock gears to change the cams anyway, right? Does swapping out stock for adjustable gears add an hour's work? Am not talking about any tuning, just the wrenching.

Thanks

That's BS, they are off anyway, it'll take maybe 5 minutes to swap them.

Who quoted you that? They are probably quoting you an extra hour because they can't zip tie the belt to the stock gears.
