fuel question

fuel question

i just put in my walboro fuel pump and i was wondering if i needed to put it a fuel pressure regulator also how much boost do u guys think i could push out safely with a stock engine on 91 pump gas. I have a boost controller, intake, and tbe with test pipe. thanks

no need for the FPR, i dont have one with my mods, hasn't been recommended yet!! good luck.cant answer the boost question with the 91 though.

most people I've talked to say 19-21 depending on how much taper you still have or not...

20psi is safe under the conditions you listed. The fuel pump was not necessary for your mods and has no bearing on whether you run 19, 20, or 21psi. It's the octane and tune that determines your proper boost level at this point. I use my fuel pump for going to the track with race gas and the boost cranked to 24psi or so. That being said, the Walbro is a great, safe mod as long as you get tuned for the extra richness. I just didn't want you to think having a fuel pump would allow you to run higher boost than you already were while on 91oct...

don't go over 19 psi with 91 gas.

im at 20.5 on 91 oct. its tuned for it just get a tune for it
