Rmr Products

Hey I was just looking at the RMR site and saw they released their products for the EVO 8. I was wondering what gains can be expected from their 3 inch downpipe and the high-flow cat??? Also, what gains would be expected from adding a cat-back to that, or the hard pipe kit RMR makes. I called them and they said the end of the month it will all be available. I hear the exhaust restricts the engine ALOT so if anyone has an idea of what gains can be expected that would really help. Also, have any companies released a intake for the evo 8 yet???

if you do the full exhaust with downpipes, cat and full exhaust.... im guessing it shoudl be aroudn 40 hp and 40 torque... i mean plus/minus 10 for each but usually turbo cars tend to gain alot more hp and torque from the simple bolt ons... if i get any exact numbers ill be sure to let u know...

a good rule of thumb that i have always associated with turbo cars is the rule of 10. each meaningful upgrade will give you about 10 hp (not an exact science!).

meaning:
downpipe +10
cat-back +10
intake +10
center-pipe/high flow main-cat +10

before I get flamed, this is a ROUGH estimate, and will vary by car, but I know from experience that it works pretty well for Supras, fds, dsms, and GTOs.

i have read that the stock cat on our car is nothing to joke about, that infact you should stick with that when swapping the downpipe and the exhaust.
