Timing belt tool info...

I'm using the tool I got from AMS to loosen the timing belt for camgear replacement.
I've used anti-seize on the threads to ensure that it won't get stuck. I've been slowly turning it in for most of the threaded length of the tool (only about ten threads still showing), and have seen no movement in the belt loosening. The tool is now getting tight to turn. I don't want to fubar this operation. Any input?

I saw little movement in the belt , most of the movement was on the back side of the motor , less on the front side . iirc
