You don't have to take out the radiator, but if you don't you will dent or scratch it a little bit.

Thx for the quick reply...now would it be better to try to get to it from the hood or put it up on a lift/jackstands and get it from underneath?

get it from up top... its an easy job as long as you have an o2 socket... you do not need to remove the rad.. there is no reason you cant be careful enough to do this... why are changing the sensor.

I want to install the aem ems with wb o2. I was going to replace the narrowband sensor on O2 housing with the wideband, figured I wouldn't need it anymore due to removal of stock ECU

That location is too close for a wideband sensor...the heat will ruin it. You'll want to research the proper distance. If memory serves me, it needs to be at least 24 exhaust inches from the engine (or not over a certain temperature).

I believe every O2 manufacturer has different requirements...do a search on wideband O2 placement or location....it's been hashed out before on here. I made sure mine was in the DP right before my cat delete pipe. It also needs to be pointing as close to straight down as possible.
