Reverse gear grind

hey guys for awhile..actually since i have had my Evo the reverse gear has always been a pain to get into..its very hard to get into and when i do get into reverse sometimes it grinds as i am putting it into reverse..i am guessing the syncro is bad but was wanting to get some other ppls opinions

there is no reverse synchro.

All the forward gears are always meshed, there will be a slight grind if you have any forward rolling motion when shifting into reverse with the clutch in.

might want to read up on what's actually going on at the other end of the shifter lever.
