In theory, the two IXs tested on a Dyno Jet would put down around 340-350WHP/350-360WTQ.

I hate to bust your bubble about mustang dynos but that is not true..There was a big post about that on honda-tech.com here is link...

Endyn got into trouble with this issue also when they built a prelude motor for a customer went to mustang dyno and it put out close to 300whp...brought that thing to a dyno jet and it was no where near that..much less

the only way a dynojet would read lower then a mustang is if the operator of one of the dyno f*cking with the setting (really bad). The way the dynos (both) are setup from the factory, dynojet will always dyno higher then a mustang.

Endyn hasn't been around since like 2000, I know, I was suppose to get a prototype of the intercooled roots S/C that was suppose to put down over 400HP&TQ and have launch control, etc.

Makes more sense to me

It was on turbo trix dyno jet and yes they put on a boost controller.. when i was talking to mike he thought i was going to put down just about 300whp. but when i saw the sheet i was kinda shocked at 312whp. I did quite a few pulls already with the car no det what so ever.

i cant wait to see what cams do ..

I dont like to argue over the internet especially on a good forum with people with great attitudes..Did you even read the post in that article..there is a pretty reputable guy in the honda world that has tested it on 2 diff dynos..(you cant compare mustang dyno to dynojet until you actually dyno on a dynojet with same car...bottom line) I have personally had my car tuned on a mustang dyno also and then 2 weeks later on dynojet and the mustang dyno read 17hp more..(my old turbo car not the evo8 i recently got)..

Here is another comparison, this is in no way taking anything away from the VIII which in my opinion put down very good numbers too (for an SAFC), but the IX continues to amaze me. The IX is almost making as much power as this VIII, but the IX is on stock exhaust and 91 Craptane gas. Still this is not the best of comparisons, because the VIII and IX were tested and tuned at two different locations. We need to get a tuner to tune both an VIII and IX at the same location, with similiar mods, and around the same time. Still I continue to be impressed with the IX (and the VIII) and I would be shocked if more and more IX owners don't start adding more mods on their cars and getting them tuned.

2005 EVO VIII (Twilight Performance)
Tanabee Turbo Back Exhaust
Injen Intake with hard upper intercooler pipe
Greddy RS BOV
SAFC 2
Turbosmart Manual Boost Controller- 21 PSI
298WHP (Dyno Jet)
270WTQ (Dyno Jet)
93-94 Octane Pump Gas

2006 EVO IX (Tuning Technologies)
SAFC 2
Injen Intake with hard upper intercooler pipe
Manual Boost Controller- 21 PSI
292WHP (Dyno Jet)
270WTQ (Dyno Jet)
91 Octane Pump Gas
