Very impressed with the EVO IX! Comparison of VIII vs. IX

In theory, the two IXs tested on a Dyno Jet would put down around 340-350WHP/350-360WTQ.
I hate to bust your bubble about mustang dynos but that is not true..There was a big post about that on honda-tech.com here is link...

Endyn got into trouble with this issue also when they built a prelude motor for a customer went to mustang dyno and it put out close to 300whp...brought that thing to a dyno jet and it was no where near that..much less

Endyn hasn't been around since like 2000, I know, I was suppose to get a prototype of the intercooled roots S/C that was suppose to put down over 400HP&TQ and have launch control, etc.

It was on turbo trix dyno jet and yes they put on a boost controller.. when i was talking to mike he thought i was going to put down just about 300whp. but when i saw the sheet i was kinda shocked at 312whp. I did quite a few pulls already with the car no det what so ever.
i cant wait to see what cams do

I agree also. I told Nick to post dyno sheets of the 05 vs 06 with SAME mods and SAME conditions so their can be an accurate comparison between the 2 year models.

Here is another comparison, this is in no way taking anything away from the VIII which in my opinion put down very good numbers too (for an SAFC), but the IX continues to amaze me. The IX is almost making as much power as this VIII, but the IX is on stock exhaust and 91 Craptane gas. Still this is not the best of comparisons, because the VIII and IX were tested and tuned at two different locations. We need to get a tuner to tune both an VIII and IX at the same location, with similiar mods, and around the same time. Still I continue to be impressed with the IX (and the VIII) and I would be shocked if more and more IX owners don't start adding more mods on their cars and getting them tuned.
