Agreed, the GT35R won't spool until close to 5,000 rpm.
I say go with the 20G. The GT3071 is good and we offer those but for the money I'd say our 20G.

No the 20G is NOT the most HP turbo.

Best turbo that gives good spool is not a GT35R and peak HP. The GT35R doesn't meet either of those. The GT35R will NOT make 775 whp and doesn't come close to spooling at 3600-4200 rpm.
A smaller turbo is the only turbo that is going to spool in those RPM limits. So to hit that mark for spool up I'd say the 20G for the money.

Annual,
First don't take all I am going to point out to you as me being a *****, just making observations that I can gaurantee.
Number one, that Mustang dyno has had the numbers for the roll weight or something else messed with, in otherwords the numbers read higher than our dyno.
First off the vehicle weight and HP @ 50 mph aren't what is recommended for settings on the EVO. Those don't make much difference but it is a sign to me. Second I know what a GT35R on our dyno will make and that 60 shot won't make that much more difference.
Last, a GT35R making 717 on a 60 shot means jack. Put a 400 shot on the car and then you can claim 1100 HP but it isn't what the TURBO is making, it's what the nitrous is making.

David, I agree with you 100%. Dyno numbers are relative. great, you made 717hp, but what was the delta between stock and this? that's the tell. if you make 300hp, then change some parts and make 350, you gained 50hp, but it has to be on the same dyno. If you make 300 on x dyno and 6000hp on y dyno, you did not gain 5700hp, you have no means of comparison. Delta is what is important, not a single big number. As for 717 on a 60 shot, well, cool, how does it drive? can you take off without a 6k dump? and slicks?
Moral of my long post, compare dyno numbers only on one dyno, between two different setups, not between dynos. Doesn't mean beans. Most important, are you happy with your setup, and does it perform the way you want.

You really have to ask this question, what is important in a turbo upgrade to me? Me, I want fast spool for autox, and good high end for track, plus low spool for corners on the track, so I want a tme. maybe a tme 20g, but definitely a tme (helps spool from what I understand due to lightened internals, but adds 10.5 hotside for more upper end power). If I drag raced, maybe a 35r or 42r for max power but also 9000rpm redline. Supporting mods definitely make a difference on these, and I have built my car for autox. I would build it differently for drag racing. If you want max power, get a huge custom turbo kit and a built stroker block. If you want driveable, go a different way. It's all relative, with tradeoffs for every decision.
