Heat wrap
Heat wrap
What's everyones' opinion on using a heat jacket?

Or perhaps heat wrap?

I've used JetHot coatings before and they were nice in keeping temps down a bit. This is a relatively cheap mod that could lower the engine bay temps considerably. Any thought on using this stuff with the EVO?
Also, what about wrapping the turbo?

i don't really think this would be an issue, but it might. if you wrap the turbo in a heat insulator like that wouldn't it make it harder for the turbo to cool down and maybe shorten its life? it might be good for the turbo to be hot though, i'm not sure
heat rapping is good for all turbocharged cars. It will decrease underhood temps alot. at the drag strip all the turbo cars that know what there doing are wrapped. And no it doesnt shorten the life of your turbo. I have been using heat wrapping on turbo dsm's for years.
