Question 5-speed vs. 6-speed box

I've been out of the loop for a while since selling my 03' almost two years ago, but am now contemplating getting into a new IX. I've been lurking around the board again, but can't seem to find much on the merrits of the new 6-speed MR box vs. the 5-speed. I had synchro problems with my 03 (I know it was mostly an 03 problem). How are the 6 speeds holding up?

Yeah, I read that thread. "Gears" said the the 6speed's gears were larger on 1st and 2nd, but smaller (and theoretically weaker) on all the others. It was written a while ago though, and there was no definite conclusion reached. I was wondering if there is any sort of concensus on the subject now that the mr's have been running around for a while.
