Is anyone else getting 1st gear shutter when taking off from a stop?

I have done some searching but nothing really pointing to an exedy.

I thought this clutch doesnt shutter????
or is the flywheel, the shop who installed it im not to stoked on, and wouldnt be surpised in anyway if they had there thumb up there butt while installing it.
dont even get me started.

any ways. is this normal, if i slip it with a higher rpm (2500-3000) it wont shutter, but if i take off at any lower from a stop, it seems to shutter bad sometimes.

but its had like 10k miles on the clutch i dont remember it doing that before.

what the heck?

It could be installer error but usually its because you have a lighter flywheel. Which Exedy do you have? So you only noticed the shudder 10k after the clutch was installed?

Did you burn the clutch up lately, bad launch and slipped it to much? Usually that happens when the clutch is glazed.

Clutch

My car started doing that at around 8000 miles on the stock clutch. It is even worst for me in reverse and up slight inclines. Anyway, I thougth it was my transmission but two weeks ago, I launch my car a little bit in first and after that, the clutch was smooth as new. The symptons came back pretty quick though.

Yep, mine started stuttering after 8k miles too. Not really when cold, but it usually happens once within the first five miles of a journey (so I suppose the clutch could be somewhat cold). Only happens at low revs in first (~2.5k).

When it happens, I usually shift into second or depress the clutch and the problem is going. The stock clutch is still holding strong and hard and I don't hammer the car.

Mine only does it in reverse when cold. But then again, it's always cold when I put it in reverse.

Have you worked anything on the drivetrain ie: Transfer case, trans? Besides the clutch that is, I saw a car with exactly the same problem and a whining noise while cruising we thought was the transfer but no it was the damn tranny.
I suggest find a responsible shop and have them check your entire drivetrain, it wont be cheap but at least you will have a fixed car, if you are close to New Jersey I suggest Turbotrix, they are known for their awesome trannys.
