Didnt you say you had until thanksgiving? Oh wait do you not have your clutch yet? If you dont then you may want to wait till after thanksgiving depending on when they can get you the parts

I might just overnight ship it. I dunno. I guess it isn't THAT serious that I make it down there. I might wait until after thanksgiving and head up to DC and have them do it. I'm gonna let my friend look at it and read the instructions as well as everyone's advice and then see what we decide.

Thanks. It looks like I'm leaning more towards letting The Speed Factor up in DC do it. Still dunno yet. This guy here says he's been doing trannys for over 8 years.

Definitely don't rush it if you don't have to. I did my first clutch in about 16 hours, super slow, keeping tabs on everything, with only a few hiccups along the way. A day is doable, but not having a timeframe helps keep the stress level down and allows you to work more carefully. If its your daily driver and you start on Saturday, run into problems, and Sunday night rolls around, you'lll work like a$$.

you will be dreaming if the shop finishes your car in a day too. take that into consideration too.

Yea well I didn't expect a shop to be done in a day. But they claim they can do it.

We have been able to turn around two different evo's in a single business day (8 hours). Usually the only thing that makes it take longer when we have to have the flywheel resurfaced but if we are doing a new clutch and flywheel or we can get the resurfacing done within the day we can consistently pull off a single day clutch job.
