If I get a N/A 4G63 Exhaust flange (not the manifold), will it bolt right up to the Evo head? Where can I get a exhaust flange that will fit the head? Im trying to make a custom manifold. I have a source for flanges, but it would take two weeks, Ide rather just buy one from somewhere. Thanks guys.

The DSM 4g63 exhaust flange is the same as the EVO exhaust flange. I verified this by putting an old DSM exhaust manifold gasket on my EVO when I had my manifold out.

Is it the same even for the old dsm naturally aspirated 4g63 heads?

Yep. The old N/A 4g63 heads are exactly the same as the turbo heads. The only difference is that one part number comes w/ a plug for the turbo oil feed line and one doesn't.

FWIW The Manifold bolts up, but it won't work, the evo manifold is offset right to clear the accessory hardware (Power steering pump) and the earlier manifold is offset left to clear it on the opposite side (the engines were mirrored)

Not saying it can't be done, but you'd have to go through quite a bit of modification just to get a stock looking setup. If your looking for a turbo upgrade you might be better off with a 20G that looks stock, or the Buschur turbo kit with manifold that looks stock from the top. Or you can contact Vishnu and use one of their turbo adapters/kit to bolt from the stock manifold to an aftermarket turbo. It really depends on your goals.

The flange bolt pattern is identical. I have installed an Evo VIII turbo on a 1 G motor.

I am willing to be a Rev-Hard cast t4 manifold will work. It is not off set at all. It requires some tight bends in the down pipe to clear the alternator in the DSMs, but the same could be done for an evo I would imagine. You can pick them up for about 3-400 used or Buschur sells this part new in the dsm section. Maybe I can get with a local to see if it will work.
