after a few hundred miles i checked the ATF tranny fluid container (driver side just behind the bumper) and it was below min, about a half an inch. went to dealership and had it filled up. but the level seems to alter quite a bit. Is that normal?

That is not your tranny fluid, that is the fluid for the ACD system. I till appear low after driving the car, if the car sits over night it will go back to normal.

 

will belo min after having driven the car harm anything? and what exactly does it do?
