What size injectors to go with??

Im trying to figure out what my next few mods will be and Im not sure what size injectors are appropriate for my current mods and will work well for my future plans, which I'm not exactly sure on. Right now I have the mods in my sig and in the next year plan to get alcohol injection or a bolt on turbo like the 20G and the AEM EMS. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

you should be fine with the stock injectors for now...

just wait until later to see what other mods you get and then decide the injector size

Even with the bolt on turbo you should be fine with stockers unless maybe you get the 20g-9 which may cause you to need 680s. If you want to be on the safe side just pick up a set.

Log your injector duty cycle, THEN decide. Most cars are fine with stock injectors and your mods, mine is one that is not (I have similar mods as you). I regularly see 99% idc, and have a set of bigger injectors to go in because of that.

If you end up going with a small bolt-on turbo (White Rabbit, 20g, etc), then you will have to bump up to something in the neighborhood of 680cc injectors. For now the stockers should be fine - but as 992gnt said, logging can't hurt.

I would suggest going with 750 Denso or RC Eng. They will work with your reflash and well with the EMS also.

We have seen anywhere between 85-90% duty cycle with cam upgrade and all the supporting mods. I would highly recommend you to get a set of 680 or 720cc. There was a thread couple weeks ago discussing this issue and I have pointed out that it might be fine to drive the car on the street running high duty cycle but its much safer if you can afford the larger injectors. The last thing you want is to overheat your stock ones and have them shut down on you at the track.

We have the Helix Denso made injectors for a very competitive price...only $365 shipped. Also, we tested them out and it drives and idle like a stock Evo.

Thanks,
Tom

Well, Id rather get the injectors before I tune the EMS so I can tune with them in, instead of getting the tune done, finding out my duty cyle and that I need injectors, then having to retune with the injectors...less hassle I guess. Ive read threads that say yes and some say no to injectors with similar mods so going by the majority of responses so far, its a yes...plus I think Id rather be safe than have an injector fail on me at the track just to save 370 bucks or so.

I would go with a set of 680s as well just to be safe, good luck with everything.

Go with 680's for sure. I have a set of Precision 680's and I am happy with them.

You should go with anything between 660cc to 720cc for stock turbo used. Also, make sure the on time and spray pattern is good for drivability. We have tested the Helix Denso injectors and we have found that its easy to tune and idling is just like stock. The car originally comes with Denso injectors so I would recommend you to go with the same manufacture for aftermarket.

Thanks,
Tom
