Hi,

I made pretty good power with my RT cat and K&N drop-in (as opposed to test pipe and cone filter intake): 331 WHP and 338WTQ uncorrected at Pruven with a custom dynoflash.

It will probably throw a CEL unless you counteract it. I use a single spark plug anti-fouler and it's been good so far. I got an inspection sticker here in MA, but they didn't actually smog it. It kind of smells, so I'm not even sure if it would pass, but maybe if it were really warmed up. I think they just look for a CEL with the newer cars anyway, but I like the peace of mind of at least having a CAT...

Good luck,

FB

I'm happy with my 3" RT cat. I've tried a test pipe and couldn't tell the difference SOTP. I used to have a Catco and this RT feels better SOTP. It doesn't quiet the car down like the Catco though. And it will throw a CEL light. Much less smelly than a test pipe even if it isn't as clean as the stock cat.

When I had a Catco cat, my Buschur lightweight muffler TB exhaust was livable. Once I got the Random cat, I had to go with the quieter Magnaflow muffler.

more flow = more noise, but u can always make perforated resonators to quiet it down at the expensive of extra weight. not sure if this is possible with the RT hfc's design though.......

any more inputs about the Randomtech HFC? bumpity bump.
