EVO VIII and IX injectors

are they the same specs? if not does anyone know the IX specs?

many of us 3000GT VR4 owners are interested in the evo injectors because of the flow. if the IXs are the same that would make the search easier.

This didn't occur to me at first, but why would you be interested in the IX injectors anyway? It will be quite a while before you can get IX injectors, since those don't even need to upgraded until the turbo is upgraded or until the IX has a ton of mods to include alky and such. There are probably tons of stock injectors from VIIIs available. What was the thinking as far as the IX goes?

i found some IX injectors for sale.

dont know if its for real or not. gotta look into it more.

as for me.....im running twin 17G class turbos on stock 360cc injectors. 12psi is getting old. it is pretty damn quick like this though.

i just picked up twin td05 18Gs. 1BAR wastegates. its kind of a forced upgrade on the injectors now

Hey Warr,

He already explained that if they are the same it makes searching for used injectors (great upgrade for 3000GT VR-4 owers) easier. Do you know the correct answere for him?

That's the comment I was referring to. I don't think it makes it much easier at all, since there are and will be far more used injectors available from 03-05s than 06s. I don't have his answer, but I did suggest to him that he pose the question here instead of in the Newbie forum where I first saw his post. It's a good question, and it would be good info to find as far as injectors go...especially since the FP appears to be changed.

you cant use the evo injestors in a VR4 because the impedence is different. it will run, but it will idle funny, and not act right.

What dont you understand?? Its a really good question and makes perfect sense. If the 8 and 9 injectors are the same then he will be looking for either one. If they are different then he will want to stick with a set of the 03-05s. Not that hard.........

All year of EVO VIII injectors are 560cc/min injectors. Not sure where you got the 550 number from.

stock USDM evo8 injectors i believe are 550cc. u can probly find tons of them used since some stock evos (in hotter climates) have seen 100% duty cycle. i will sell mine but i need to get the 1000cc RC Engineering ones 1st...
