problem maybe

Well a friend of mine in his AWD talon is having a problem.... he posted on the dsm forums but no luck yet so im trying to help him out. If he goes full throttel car hits like 10 psi then like cuts out if he eases in the throttel it boost 17 like its set for but the car still doesnt pull lkike it should. I gave him a hand we boost leak tested it found a few leaks tighted his t bolt clamps for his SBR frontmount and still the same thing. His vacum is around -10 with usualy at idle it was around -15 or -20ish. Im stumped his car has yet to be tuned. he rebuilt the whole motor car ran good for awhile but yet to get it tuned But his mods as far as i remember are 272 272's 2g tallon pistons, 1mm bigger valves, head was checked and chaved cleaned, 800cc injectors i think, Maf translator, front mount, and a rediculas turbo forgot what one though, afc II. Any input would be nice thanks in advanced nick

Rebuilt motor with all those mods and not tuned? I'm not stumped. I also won't be stumped if the motor has to be rebuilt again soon.

That's the second time this week that someone has said "it's not tuned" only to later say "oh, it's tuned, just not dyno tuned." I'm not sure when dyno tuning became the only way to properly tune, but anyway, I digress...

The thing HAS to be tuned if it's even running on those HUGE injectors, which are twice the flow of stock. I know that the SAFC can't take out enough fuel to make it run properly, so maybe the MAFTPro is providing the tuning? Anyway, I wouldn't expect it to run right at all with all those mods but no good tuning. There could be many reasons why the boost cuts out quickly at WOT but not with a steady increase.

I can't even begin to think how many things could be causing this...and the change in vaccuum.

I would suggest he ditch the AFC and get a dsmlink. Anything over 720cc and the AFC cannot compensate for the added fuel. Only other option I could think of is to get a AFPR and turn the base pressure down to even out the bigger injectors. My guess is the car is flooding itself out with those big injectors.
