Question Help.. car not starting!!!

Just wondering if anyone knows what the fuse looking thing on the positive battery terminal on our cars is??

Mine looks fried and the plastic cap that covers it is melting because im guessing there's some kind of loose connection.. when this thing isnt working my car wont start.. im guessing... ?? this is just a guess but I still would like to know what it is..

Thanks in advance..

It is one of the main fuses for the electrical system. If this fuse is blown your car won't do anything. Replace it and find out what caused it to blow in the first place. If things are melted then you have a short somewhere and it needs to be fixed before more than the plastic cover melts/burns. Good luck.

Well it doesn't seem like you have too many engine or electrical mods so you could just tow it there with the Mitsu roadside assistance. Good luck. Is it possible something from your grounding kit is coming into contact with power?
