Unhappy engine shut down

i was driving as i usually do, then suddenly the engine shut down on me. i got scared, i tried to turn it back on but i had a hard time. after 2nd or 3rd crank, it was back on but the engine light is on. i pushed through after a few miles (car seemed to be running normally) and stopped by an autozone and had it diagnosed. the computer told us about the crankshaft and camshaft sensors malfunctioned. what do u guys think what caused it? i really need your help

hks intake, blowoff valve and downpipe(came from preveiws owner). no ecu flash. the guy told me that it is his first time to see both sensors go down. he told me it might be just a comp. glitch since the car started normaly. he told me if either one malfunc. i won't be able to start the car. i'm guessing it's the intake prob. since i didn't flash my ecu yet

It could be the combination of the filter and BOV. If you have the stock items, try putting them back on and see if it happens again. Evos are very sensitive to changes like that. Filter especially.

hmm the intake wont throw a crankshaft code and camshaft code......i would go to a dealer and get it checked out.....those are very basic mods and they shouldnt mess up the ecu

its nothing, trust me. i had the same problem going up a hill. just shut right off and wouldnt crank over for a couple mins. actually happened a week ago. went to my friend who works as a mechanic for mitsu and we got the same code u got. he said its no big deal as it hasnt dont it before or sense. now if it does it everyday u should worry. also, the check engine light went out on mine after 24 hours by itself, lol

Its a known issue that when the car stalls for some reason, there's a chance you'll get those 2 codes and it will turn over for a few seconds before restarting. However why it stalled is a different story

after this happened i was just driving a while ago, the engine light is gone but after passing a car, dropped it to third gear and floored it to see if the car is o.k., the car seemed to be loosing power. it accelerate and loose power and accelerate again. i'll try to put back my stock intake since i don't have a flashed ecu. i'll let you guys know later what happens

i'm back. i installed my stock intake and the car was running smooth up to the redline. i guess the whole prob. was the car was taking so much air and the MAF cannot calculate it, then it messes up the timing for both crank and camshaft sensors since the car is taking so much air than it has too. pls. correct me if i'm wrong.
