Compression results help

My friend and I did a compression check today, and i got 165psi on all 4 holes. are the number good?? any if it were to different on all 4 holes, what are the within range number before it too much of a different?

within 10- 15 psi range is ok.. im assuming you have an 03 so your fine with those numbers... here is a link from my 03..


Cylinder pressure, whats your number..

i have an 04, but i 272/272 cams. i wonder if it will afect the compression??

it will a little, because of the overlap... 03 and 04 had for the most part this range of comp.. now 05's are running around 180-190, and i have seen almost 210 on a couple..

190 / 191 / 190 / 195 on my 04 on three seperate tests. The 195 on #4 bugs me a little - can be detonating like crazy over there and not be picked up by the sensor between 2 and 3

really with the method one uses to test, the engine temps and conditions, the equipment used, there should be variances of 20 psi from car to car when diferent dudes are doing the tests so a consistant 150 across the board likely is a top shape engine. What is bad is if you got something like 195 / 195 / 178 / 195 consistantly
