EVO8 turbos converted to EVO9's and 20G's!!

Great news.

We can now upgrade your GOOD condition EVO8 turbo into a EVO9 turbo when we build at 20G turbo.

For guys that already have the 20G-8's (EVO8 turbo with 20G compressor wheel) we can upgrade that too.

Here is how it works and the pricing:

Send in your good EVO8 turbocharger that is ALREADY equipped with the 20G wheel and we will upgrade it to the EVO9 compressor housing for $750.

Send in your good EVO8 turbocharger that is NOT equipped with the 20G wheel and we will upgrade it to the EVO9 20G for $950.

We can do these NOW. Just call and get an RA# before you ship us the turbo.

Thank you,

David Buschur

I'm assuming you can't do this on an exchange basis?

Off topic but any risk with running alky with the turbo upgrade? Have you guys tuned one yet?

Great Idea David, just curious.. What's the diff in power.? I know it's probably posted somewhere else but I figured most people are going to ask anyway so if typing a few digits isn't too much of a problem i would appreciate it.

There is no risk running alky injection on ANY turbo. Your question makes no sense.

does the 10.5 housing come with this upgrade, or will it still retain the 9.8?

(edit: I have the stock 9.8 housing)

If you get any combination that includes the IX compressor housing, you will need the install kit, since it requires a new LICP and new coolant/water lines.

The part I think I'd like to clarify is the whole 10.5/9.8 issue. Dave, you said people can send in their good Evo8 turbos, but that didn't differentiate between the 03/04s and the 05s with the 10.5 hotside. I certainly can understand sending in an 05 turbo that already has the 10.5 hotside and having it made into a 20g-9 while retaining the 10.5 hotside for $950, but what about Evo8 turbos with the 9.8 hotside? Do they get back a 20g-9 with the 9.8 hotside, or is a 10.5 hotside added?

They will only change out the wheel and the compressor housing. If you send them the 9.8 hotside, you will get the same hotside when the conversion is done.
