Question Car almost stalls when...

Hopefully I posted this in the right forum...

For the past month or so I've noticed that when I'm slowing to a stop my rpm's dip way below 800 and my car almost stalls. It seems to do this most often from a 30mph slow down.

Any ideas?

this happens after you've warmed up the car and initially start to drive off, right? because thats what mine does. i don't have a VTA BOV, just a JDM MR DV.

maybe too rich at low rpms? or idle. Have you had some sort of a reflash in the past?

No reflash. Could it be that my air filter is in need of cleaning?

I had a similar problem with the JDM MR BOV.

Check your IC and intake hoses to make sure they are tight?

I'll check that. I did notice a hissing sound from the engine today.

Could be your intake, I have heard of a number of people that had this problem because of an intake without a flash.

Make sure all your hoses including vacuum lines are tight and reset your ECU and see if the problem continues. It would not be a bad idea to get a reflash for your intake.

Yah, it sounds like a vaccum leak somewhere. You might want to check all the little hoses on the intake manifold as well as all the IC hoses. A great way to eliminate the IC hose leak is to replace them with a set of hard pipes.

Thanks,
Tom
