Porting the Standard Exh Manifold

As the title says....

Reading the other post, 'how to reduce turbo lag' there is a comment on the length of the manifold. Keep it short basically.

The stock manifold is very short. And i have been told it'll handle 400 hp with no issues.

So has anyone polished / ported the stock manifold ?

If so, was it worth it?

It would be very easy to wrap the stock manifold with a hi-temp heat blanket also.

I think it would be less likely the stock manifold would crack than a upgraded manifold.

Any views on this?
