Can someone give me some ideas to get this car started??

Brief: Friend of mine blew his Evo engine up. Car caught on fire, small fire. So he gets the engine back and we spend a month putting it back together. Yesterday was time to start it. Well, when we click the key to the on position, the fuel pump does not turn on. I followed the manual and jumpered the fuel pump and it spins fine. So we try again and nothing. We then tested for spark, and nothing. Somthing is not letting us have fuel or spark. We unplugged my Cam sensor on my car and turned the key on and got fuel. (i have an AEM though) Now what about crank sensor???? The ground wires are all on. This is really getting to be a PITA. Any other ideas???? Thanks. Ray
