Will I feel a lot with a test pipe?

I know this may sound like a stupid question and I am expecting any criticism, or flaming . But I currently have an HKS 2.5 DP and AVO catback 3", new version. I was thinking of swapping my stock cat with a 3" testpipe. Will I feel a huge difference even without a flash? About how much whp will it add? Will a flash with the testpipe be much different than a flash with a cat? I know there will be a difference on paper but I just want to know about the difference I will feel in the car. Thank you.

I have AVO tbe with the test pipe. You'll feel a different even without a flash. Heck! It was already feel a big different back then when I put on the Ultimate HF cat from the stock cat. Another thing that you need to consider is it'll also a little louder (low rumble). I feel the car pull stronger to red line versus the stock cat.

How was the difference from the HF cat to the test pipe?

When I switch between my ultimate racing highflow and my test pipe, I really can't tell too much of a difference.

I think that it's more of a placebo effect that since it sounds like you're going faster it makes you feel that you're going faster.

You'll also get the added benefits of soot build up on the bumper and having to change it out once a year if you live in an emissions testing area.

It depends on how large you are. You may not feel much in a 3" test pipe. Just kidding. There is a difference, but not that much. Should be good for 3-10 WHP. Like a few people have said you are going to have to deal with the crud on your bumper. Make sure you put a good coat of wax down before you put the test pipe in. It willl make it a lot easier to clean up.

Not much of a different with the stock turbo. The reasons that I put on the test pipe are because I have gt35r and want to run leaded c16 at the track. For the guy that said it's a placebo effect, it's not true. Try switching between them and find out. The car will pull longer to red line before drop off and the boost come on faster too. When I ran my car with the oem cat, the power always drop off earlier. I know what it feels like and so give opions to help this guy out. If you only "think" then don't mock.

Can't you get a certain downpipe/test pipe combos that won't set off the CEL?

Anyone know of any good combos, or certain test pipes that won't trigger the dreaded light??
