boost related ..

at the moment .. i have
UR 3" TBE, injen intake with upper IC pipe, AMS lower IC pipe, MBC, walbro, HKS Cams 264/272 and arp headstuds....
the Car is Untuned .. i am saving up to send my ecu to dynoflash cuz at the moment i am broke .. which that'll be within three weeks
the car rides just fine .. nothings wrong ..
the car is not driven much ... i still got low miles 2000 Miles since i got the car on last april
so i am wondering what the boost on the car should be using the MBC in Bars .. since my boost cauge reads in bars ..
we are on 91 Octane ..
a friend of mine told me not to go over 20psi ... which is 1.3 bar ..
any comments?

I think the safest and maximum level on stock turbo is 22 psi.

hmm I dont know how the Injen makes the MAF read so you would have to ask a Tuner thats know about the effects of that kit ...(ie too lean)

yeah...so basically try to keep low boost until your tune because you NEVER want to run lean.

and on 91 octane....keep low boost to avoid knock

Dead-Man: i am in the same boat as you, i basically have everything you have, but i am getting tuned by AMS on the 17th so i will be good. Its just good to know that i should stay out of boost, i was pretty sceptical about boost anyway. I have the Walboro and some 680's, but they aren't installed, AMS will be helping me out with that also. i mean i have taken my car around the block by my house a few times to make sure everything is sealed and ok, and installed correctly with nothing coming off while i am in boost.

Good luck with the tune.
