NGK BPR5EKU in my EVO

My 2003 Evo8 has a bad miss under load, so I had my mitsu dealer install
new plugs. I asked the service folks to save me the old plugs,
so I could eyeball them for fouling, etc and the plugs were NGK BPR5EKU.
They look like dual electrode standard plugs, not iridium, not platinum.
I bought the Evo new [12 miles], the Evo is a Jan2003 manufacture date
and now has 29k miles. I have no reason not to think these plugs came
from the factory. These plugs are 2 heat ranges warm, but looked OK,
kinda toasty.

With the new plugs, the Evo pulls clean and hard and feels right after
about 1/2 hour of driving.

Any hints on why these plugs were installed or similar experiences?

i bet the dealer misplaced your plugs and just gave you the first set they saw lying around.
