when I was looking at the IX the BOV is connected to the inlet tube with the hose going to the IC pipe, the 05 its on the pipe with the hose going to the intake. Because the plastic BOV body will melt? Just wondering/noticed.

 

no, the '05 is the same as the '06 but different BOV's

 

Yeah, not sure where you got that idea. They are exactly the same setup with different BOVs. Maybe you were looking at someone who had an aftermarket BOV setup on an 05?
