Anyone have experience w/ Exedy Stage 1 Clutch?

Does anyone have experience with the Exedy Stage 1 clutch. Everyone seems happy with the dual disc hyper series, just wondering if the stage 1 Exedy offers works as well. I am considering the stage 1 exedy or the ACT clutch. I am planning on going w/ an ACT lightweight flywheel w/ whatever clutch I go with. I did a search and did not find much other than some good deals on this stage 1 clutch.

Any feedback will be appreciated.

The Exedy stage 1 organic will drive just like an OEM clutch with more a bit more clamping force. I would recommend this clutch for regular day to day driving with bolt on mods. Just no 5k rpm clutch drop launches. All our customers are very happy with this clutch and the CCI flywheel combo and the pricing is great....much cheaper than a stage 4.

Thanks,
Tom

The Exedy Stage 1 is a good clutch and similar to our HDSS setup, but sort of a milder version. The linings are not steel backed like the ACT, but burst is not a big problem on the EVO. The clamp load is lower than ACT so it hold a little less power but pedal effort is lower. The engagement is smooth. The pressure plate drive straps are stock versus ACT's modified straps, but that shouldn't be an issue unless you have a lot of torsional vibration (high output motor, etc).
