Buschur's done dynos of stock vs. their deluxe unit. He's also posted much technical detail on pressure and temp differences as the air passes through. Try a search.

The cooler the charge the more power inherently made AND the cooler the air to begin with the more it can be compressed and used safely (i.e. higher boost levels).

Keep in mind that what most have said is true concerning HP (up to 350) heat soak etc. (drag vs. road race). The other factor is that with a giant IC it creates a bit more turbo lag because the larger cavity takes longer to fill. From what some have said it is noticable.

If you are a drag racer AND have high HP or road race go for it. Me, I autox and have mild mods. TURBO LAG BAD! I would need a smaller IC than most buy to fit the bill.
