How much oil does your baby burn?

I better rephrase the question. How much oil does your evo burn? I was just bored and curious. I have 8,000 miles and add one quart every 3,750 (burns one between oil changes).

Mine burns ZERO quarts. I put in 5 quarts and take out 5 quarts. I use the 5 gallon Mobil 1 container to measure what I take out from the engine. Did you break in your car using the Mitsubishi instructions? I remember reading in Car and Driver that it was essential to break in the Evo using Mitsu instructions, otherwise you will burn oil. Here is the money quote:

"For the first 600 miles, we treated the Evo like a cute baby lamb. That's because Mitsubishi tells us the break-in is a crucial time in an Evo's life. If you're kind for those first miles, you will be rewarded with quicker acceleration, and it will never burn oil, Mitsubishi claims."

Your car should not burn oil in regular day to day driving. I have 5500 miles on mine and have done two oil changes w/o any loss of oil.

I only burned oil during break in which I think is normal. But I've since been out of break in and have not burned oil since. I have done two oil changes since I bought the car. Currently have 5500 miles on the car. I changed at around 1500 because I noticed I was low on oil so I changed it. My second oil change I was still full to the top when I checked.

I too treated her like a baby during break-in. I notice that my oil never moves on the stick unless I have been in the trubo (lup a mountain run). I have never let it drop below the "fill" mark. I just always keep it near the top marker and noticed it is "drinking" about 1 between oil changes. I noticed in the manual it's stated using oil is normal, guess that's there way out.

I usually burn a little between oil changes (half a quart every 5000 miles). I may be wrong, but it seems as though more oil is burned when I spend more time in boost. I went one oil change interval driving like a 95 year-old grandmother when gas was $49 a gallon a ways back. I never went above 4K RPM. I used no oil. Lately, though, I use a little bit. But then I seem to be indulging in more spirited driving.

One quart every 3000 miles. I buy the six quart box at cosco. I put five quarts during oil change and before the next oil change the sixth quart is used up.

None here. I usually check it before I drain it and its still right where it was when I first changed it.
