front lsd?

i was in the market for a front lsd since i own a standard evo with front open diff, and came across this on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/903-PHANTOM-GRIP-LSD-LIMITED-SLIP-DSM-ECLIPSE-TALON-EVO_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33731QQitemZ8039502 586QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

has anyone ever used an LSD conversion kit like this and do they work good, or am i better off trying to find a used RS or MR front LSD?

I had one in my VW Jetta with the standard springs and it was ok. On the launch you would get the two tires spinning, but in the corners it was not that great.

For an Evo I would buy a real LSD.

NOTE I had the "standard" springs installed, you can get upgraded springs that will give more locking force.

better off with a real LSD like the RS front diff that rsr14 has for sale. ive heard those phantom grips also referred to as random grips because they dont always do what they are supposed to do

If you're going to deal with all the work and/or expense of properly installing a front LSD you might as well do it right.

Get a mitsu, ralliart, quaife or other quality LSD.

Had the Quaife Front LSD in my Talon awd and loved it. Plan to get the same for my 03.
