better i would say is a selective term

I have the TurboXS

Both should gain about the same power. I would say choose the one you like the look and sound of.

Wow, the TXS TBE really costs $1000? If so, I'd always suggest the AMS instead, but then again, I could never justify spending $1000 on stainless steel piping anyway.

I dug through all the exhaust threads recently for sound clips. The AMS sounded really good, somewhat similar to the Buschur imo. I think I'm going with one of these personally to add power, more volume, and a raspy almost cackle sound.

I know in the Subie world, the catless Turbo IX made some of the highest HP gains, and was also one of the loudest out there. Not sure if it's the same for the Evo, but I would think somewhat similar.

If you are spending 1k on the turboxs you are getting taken i think full MSRP is 1038.99 but they are listed for 900 or less all over the place including shipping

I have the turbo xs tbe w/ test pipe and can't be happier with it. I got it for around $900 from my buddies shop. The sound is great nice deep tone, but not to loud where you can't think. Almost sounds like my other buddies rx7. As far as performance wise I belive Modified did an exhaust shoot out and it was in the the top two or three. If you pick it up you should be pretty happy.

Why would you even think about getting the TXS tbe to begin with? They aren't exactly known for making the best Evo products. You can get a proven BR TBE for even less than $900 with your choice of HFC or test pipe and choice of loud or quiet muffler...you can even get the new badass bullet muffler, too.

Ummm how so?

Have you ever used a TurboXS product?

Can you please back this up with some facts?

Just so you know my experience with Turboxs is a have a full TBE, FMIC, intake and UTEC and could not be happier with each product

It is not to loud for me.

I went from a helix( got rid of it because it fit like crap and was insanely loud)

This one is still aggressive but doesn't drone on the freeway and you can have a conversation with someone and keep my voice at a normal level.

Feel free to search it all you want on here. You will find plenty of examples. Their MBC is the worst for the Evo, the TBE is not worth the premium they charge (no idea why people willingly pay that much), the FMIC doesn't perform as well as the BR, Nisei, and AMS units, and the UTEC is one of the least-used/least-recommended tuning devices for the Evo. I'm glad you are happy with your setup, but I have no idea what led you to buying all those parts from TXS when you could have gotten equivalent parts for less money and better performance.
