whats the best way to clean a buschur filter? is it ok to use the k&n? do you oil it too? any suggestions? thanks

I need to clean my K&N soon... is their cleaning kit the best ??? or is there something better ?

-I believe that oil is an absolute necessity.

 

i had a drop in before this and the k&n cleaner worked fine, im just not sure if its cool for the buschur

 

the k&n filtercharger kit (cleaning/oiling kit) will work on any cotton or other fabric filter, its basicaly just a high concentration detergent and the oil is a must to pick out tiny particles. As long as its not a foam filter(HKS/"mushroom") or paper it will be fine.

 

I heard one good tip:

Don't scrub the actual surface of the filter
