low boost on my IX???

i just installed a brand new autometer boost gauge and im getting a peak boost reading of 18psi. Isn't it supose to be 20psi? my vacum seems ok, its reading 18 in hg. i used a rubber hose instead of the nylon one, and my only mod is a hks rs intake. anyone have any ideas of what it could be? Thanks

It should be higher, especially with the intake. Maybe you have a slight leak
or the gauge is a little off?

im inclined to think its not the gauge because its brand new. My old boost gauge was reading 1psi when the car was off so i decided to replace it. but that old gauge was giving me a peak boost reading of 21psi.
