Question on Hyperground Cables

I'm interested in the Hyperground Cables that are official 2006 Evo IX accessories. I'm going to order them online as I've heard they are a novice self-install. The question I have is are the cables for the 06 IX the same as the cables for the 05 VIII (exact same part#)? Also I'm pretty sure that they are gold colored, correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks in advance for the clarification!

FYI, they are just as useless and just as ugly on the IX as they are on the VIII.

yes, save the money. i had a $30 DIY kit and the $110+ sun auto cyberspeed hyper ground kit - no difference btween the 2 and no difference in performance. Now the sun auto cyberspeed hyper voltage kit, i notice a little.... $200 worth??? i'm on the fence with that.

all of the comments above are truely unfounded, the sun auto cables are very different from the knock-off 4 gauges wires cut with ring terminals on the end. Furthermore, the ground kit and voltage kit yield great results on the 4g63 engine (you should note that you can actually order hyper volt/gnd kits from Mitsubishi at the dealers, and those are supplied by SUN).

I think the Sun gnd/volt kit is $200 well spent if you ask me. At least for the 4G63 it is

the ground cables are not a performance mod, and shouldn't have been advertised as that. They do have their benefits.
