Aftermarket Air filter replacement

Ok air filter question, I know I know...... I have a 04 with MAF, the car is tuned for my intake (custom for my turbo) it has a HKS K and N style cone, I want to replace it should I go with a K and N style again or go to a diffrent cone that dosent have oil???? I dont want to mess up the MAF. Also being said is their any difinitive way to clean the MAF wire???? Brake clean?? thanks

I would be careful going with non-oiled air filters. One splash of water and you're going to be gargling water like my buddy did in his STI.

i used electronic contact cleaner on my MAF and it worked fine, you shouldn't have an issue as long as you don't overoil the filter, however, i just use a dry filter to save the hassle and worry, but i use the stock airbox.
