mbc is screwed

ok so i am installing my mbc today, its the xs turbo standard. i get it all hooked up and start the car, there is air leaking out from under the adjusting cap. what the heck is up with that, is it a faulty mbc i guess or what and i cant figure out how to get it to stop leaking. im kind of screwed now becuase i was putting this in so i could turn the boost up, the guy that had the car before me never put the restrictor pills back in the lines and i never knew. ive been running 11 psi for about 3 months with no idea, so i was gonna put this in to make things right but my day is ruined. another week and i guess im getting a new mbc until then 11psi

I drove at 11psi for about 3 months too. Sux, doesn't it? I think there should be a sticky of this problem for people who just bought a used Evo. I guess that's why boost gauge should always be first mod anyways. Atleast your fixing your problem right before good weather
