264/280 camshaft and camgears setting
264/280 camshaft and camgears setting please help!!
hi every one I got the 264 intake and 280 exhaust camshafts from vishnu. I have not been able to set my cam gears to obtain maximum results any suggestions??? the settings for the cams gears are -4 intake and -2 exhaust rigth now.
mods are:
• Vishnu adjustable cam gears
• Hks intake
• Hks exhaust
• down pipe
• Borla ( header )
• perrin Fuel rail
• 255 fuel pump
• Unorthodox pulleys
• Dual friction clutch
• Perrin test pipe
O2 housing
10.5 turbo hot side
mods are:

Funny thing was, I was just about to post if anyone had tried this before, I don't feel like searching right now, so perfect timing. I was lookin' at the 272i/280e combo though, please keep us posted. Peace.

vishnu offered me 264 / 280 and they work really well. shiv was out of town when I got them and one of the guys at vishnu suggested -2 intake 0 exhaust which really did not work that well. I have tried -4/-2 and -3/-1 and the car seems to respond very well. after installing the cam shafts and used -4/-2 I tested my car against a friend wrx sti and my car pulled 7 cars ahead of him in all the range. I live in miami and there are no that good dynos over here so my question is what do you think is the best setting based on my mods?

How would you know wich setting will give you better curve without dyno? I mean the difference might be 10-15 HP and its not going to be really noticable without dyno.

more info on this i think this is the 1st person to do this your the 1st crash dummy for this setup im just joking man good luck i really want to see how its going to work out after the tune
