Soldering COP

I want to get my COP on and can't find my soldering iron or solder around anywhere so I have to head out and buy new - no big deal.

But I'm not an electronics tech - I know HOW to solder, just not the right stuff to use, especially when it's going to be right there on the block. What recommendations are out there for solder - or even the iron itself?

Thanks.

I'm going to gap the new plugs at .25 as well - any feedback there?

Thanks EvoM.

If its pretty thick wire, i suggest getting a GUN not a IRON. Solder is solder, Easiest suggestion is, go to Radio Shack (or where ever) and tell the sales guy exactly what your gonna be doing and rough gauge of the wire you will be soldering, he will get you everything you need.
