what a/r for gt35r with my mods

im looking at turbos still and have everything needed to bolt on a t3 turbo. i was wondering what a/r's and housings were recommended for a car with my mods (check sig)? also i have heard that the 5bolt housing has a more restricted flow than the 4. is this true? because i already have a 5bolt o2 housing but if it is loosing power then i will probably swap it out. also what size is the exhaust exit on a 35r, 2.5" or 3"? thanks for any help

You can get a 3in or 2.5in exit for the 4 bolt housing. You prolly want a .63 turbine housing. And a ported "s" cover for the comp. I have a theory that you will gain power with the 4 bolt housings. But "possibly" less lag with the 5 bolt. In theory.

You got it. If you go with a larger hot side like .82 it will be laggier. And if you use the regular "e" comp cover, you will see surging problems.

BTW, as of now i'm using the 5 bolt. I may try the 3in. 4 bolt in the future and see what happens.

A conservative tune, with a mix of 93 and 116 was 421 on a mustang dyno.

Im guessing, but 30-40. I really have no clue. But when you look at the 5 bolt it does look very restrictive compared to a 3in. hole.

What kind of prices for the garrett? PTE is always a good choice, basically the same. The ported covers are different. The PTE may be cheaper. But you need to find a distributor. I lucked out on that. I went from a 50trim to the 35r as well. Found a used one for 750, with the e cover. Then had dsmotorsport send it to pte for the ported cover. The backing plates arent the same, and they also rebalanced the wheel.

the best i have found on the garrett is 1250, then i would need to get the flange and fab up a o2 housing and run oil and water lines. yeah i talked to someone i know about the pte 35r and they said that they probably couldnt get it for a little while.
