Here's a quick video I took tonight of my car idling at 1200 rpms w/ 280/280 Comp Cams and Fidanza gears set at +2/0.

do u have to or is it a security to replace them when doing cams? i am planing on doing 270 comp cams with stock cams gears but no one seems to answer me when i ask this question. so do i need new springs and retainers?

 

I talked with TurboTrox and they said springs and retainers arent need with the Comp 280\'s as long as you are using stock rev limits. I havent had any problems with my 280\'s on the stock valvetrain.
