just installed mods on the evo

I finally got my evo 2 days ago and wow this thing is AMAZING. I used to drive a 2k2 automatic civic and a 92 Integra LS, so this thing is really insane for me. But yeah the night i got it, it was like 30 degrees and a snowstorm, i was soooooooo pissed. BTW these tires are horrendous in snow. But yeah anyways yesterday afternoon we put on a Tenzo-R universal intake(until i actually get my real intake) and the Greddy Type S BOV. OMG OMG OMG That combo sounds absolutely amazing. At about 3300-4000 RPM the BOV is just mean sounding. I was surprised by the intake also, the intake also sounds very nie also for just being a filter. It also doesnt look bad in the engine bay. I am dumping the BOV into the atmosphere instead of back into the intake, everything on the car is running perfect but i do have a "engine servce soon" code on my dash... does anyone know if this is normal??? I've heard of the idles supposedly being shaky when dumping into the atmosphere, but havent had any trouble with that. Well anyways so we took it to a local "cruising" spot in milwaukee last night. I only had 250 miles on so I had to shift under 4500 rpm and only went half throttle... I had ALOT of good kills for the break in period. And also didnt get beat with anyone, one car was keeping up with me (little convertible miata with a huge turbo). But anyways some typical loser in a WRX comes up to me while im eating in a restaurant and asks me if i want to race "my dads car" HAHAHAHA. And then hes like "why didnt you wait for the STI" and my reply was "I didnt want to have any problems with sucking small animals in through the hood scoop" Yeah but anyways heres some kills I had(keep in mind i was shifting at 4500 rpm tops and only going 1/2 throttle)

1. 2- MR2's
2. 2nd gen eclipse turbo(basically stock)
3. Some audi???
4. Spec V SE-R
5. Honda CRX w/ swap
6. Supercharged civic
7. VW Golf Turbo w/ mods
8. Mustang GT
9. Integra GSR
10. On the highway, took a 2002 Civic SI in 5th gear while he downshifted to 3rd

Thats all I can think of now. Once I break it im going to get a peice of some WRX's next weekend

Pretty sure they do not make Mustang Cobras in auto, what would be the point of all that power getting robbed by a crap tranny!

For real. Same thing happened with the WRX shortly after it was released and the (wannabe) street racers started coming on board..

How does your insurance go up from racing people unless you got in an accident or got a ticket???

People who street race are the people who get the lions share of the tickets. People who street race are also more likely to get into accidents and make claims against their insurance policies.

Claims against Evo insurance policies = increased insurance cost for all Evo owners.

Are you really that ignorant or what? You're going to get tickets, or get in an accident doing things like this all the time. That'll effect my insurance due to 17 year old kids who's mom's buy them cars and crash em.
