That is already taken care of. When this software is released, it will be a full working version. So no beta testing needed. Beta testing have been going on for about 6 months now. Also I have base maps for evo 8 and evo 9 already. When the software release, it will come with some base maps, and addresses where 3D, 2D maps, and data values are stored.

Will there be some sort of GUI for the maps (ala Ecutek or Accessport) or is it going to show the raw hex with the locations of the values that you then modify?

Thanks for doing all the work and keeping it freeware. Very classy move.

Thanks to Colby in writing this EVO ECuFlash software, he is working on a GUI editor for this EcuFlash as well. Will let you guys know when it is released.

This will be awsome.

Now if someone would build a shop with Mustang dyno around here it would be great. 3 hours to the nearest AWD Dyno.

I think this was covered by the first post, but i want to reconfirm. Will the user be able to pull the current map off the ECU, in the case that there was already some flash type (non-ECUTEK) tuning performed so that it could be used as a starting point??

Also have you figured out how to create and manipulate launch control via this software a la dynoflash's 2 step launch control?

Correct You would be able to read out your stock ROM, modify it with EcuFlash user-friendly GUI interface editor, and flash back your modified ROM with the same EcuFlash software.

As for new parameters, we found by disassembling the code:

MAF size data value
MAF Scaling
MAF Tweak Table
Air Temperature Compensation
Barometric Pressure Compensation
Fuel Injection timing
Idle Stepper 3D MAP
Ignition dwell time
Ignition latency time
Knock sensor maps
Fuel Pump control
Radiator fan duty cycle table
and more....

We are just testing all of them to make sure it's correct.

But all the basic parameters are found such as:

Fuel Maps
Timing Maps
Accel Enrichment
Boost Tables
Rev limiter
Launch Rev limiter
Boost limiter
Speed limiter
Boost limit timer
and more....

This is pretty cool, I can finally tune a few cars here locally that I've been reluctant to work on because of not having access to an expensive reflash tool to compensate for their mods. It should also be interesting to see what sort of tunes some of the reflashed cars already have.

This will be the best thing for the evo community bar-none if it works as good as it sounds.....keeping fingers crossed. Also, you said it would be compatible or able to work with an ecutek flash, will it erase the ecutek "whatever-ware" when this is done?

This guy's real name is Jamarr. Some alias are Jay, and evidently now Jason. After this post, he will likely change his name once again. Do not trust this guy. Ripped off some Evo owners across the country on reflashes. They got flashed and ended up running slower.

A guy that comes across as a normal Evo owner just like us actually owns a company in arizona mlinkpro.com.

If a guy represents himself in such a manner, where he is actually trying to sell you a products from him company without telling you who he represents, that should be a red flag to run away. You have been warned.
