Flowmasters on a evo, anyone

I asked about a year ago if anyone had a flowmaster 2 chamber on their evo. Not very good response then. It sounded so good on my 94 Cobra, that I really miss that classic sound. Now I understand the evo is not an 8 cylinder, but if anyone has a sound clip of one on a evo, please post it.

Just listen to this muffler clip from their website on a mustang. Sound so much better than typical evo exhaust. I have heard tons of different exhausts, work at the local drag strip. Flowmaster sounds so good.

On a mustang

or on a big block

or the sport compact muffler

I have heard a flowmaster on a Saturn!
To be honest it actually sounded better then 90% of any other aftermarket exhuast on a 4-cyl. I say go for it, they are cheap enough to give it a shot. I can find out what was on the Saturn if you like.

please dont put a slowmaster on your car. they are very restrictive compared to straight through design mufflers like magnaflow or any of the N1 canister mufflers.

Don't hate.

I'm expecting flowmasters gonna sound somewhere similar to Magnaflow, which 80% of the Evo has with the BR setup.

I guess he could try it and let us know if it sucks or not on an EVO (not camero or mustang).

by the way, what's so suck about flowmaster, according to the mustang and camero owners?

Well, as a former Lt1 and Ls1 owner, yes flowmasters do in fact suck ***. Why, fitment issues, fair sound, minimal power gains. thats why the LT1 got Borla and the Ls1 got SLP loudmouth (resonator). IMO the Borla on the LT1 was the best sound/quality and fitment/power-and wingnuts off to run dump...just trying to answer your question

former LS1 owner here to, if you actually read my post, flowmasters are not a straight through design, thus they are alot more resatrictive than they actually sound, and dont gain much in the way of power. when magnaflow started making kits/mufflers for the F-cars everyone jumped on it because of their straight through design mufflers, awesome sound, quality build, and competitive price. late model domestic guys stay away from flowmaster.. Olddd school muscle still uses it, cuz they have so much displacement it doesnt matter and flowmaster does sound really good. when it comes to flow though, the name is an oxymoron.

I guess they're designed more toward adding backpressure and release than just a straight through for FI cars.

Just go for a GReddy Ti, JIC Ti, A'PEXi GT Spec, A'PEXi N1 ExTi, Magnaflow Ti, Blitz Nur Spec, RSR Ex Mag GTII, Buschur Racing, or AMS. Any of those will probably be much better looking, better flowing and sounding.
