My Project (56k, make a sammich)

Transmission and Transfer Case came out yesterday. Its a bit more work compared to the 97 Talon TSI. The T.O.B release took awhile. Couldnt drop the transfer case out of the car until we had the trans completely out. We took the front section of the driveshaft out, instead of pulling the t-case off it. Was much easier.

its alot of work, but nothing is really to complicated. You have to have some ninja like qualities for some bolts. I couldnt get the tcase completly outta the car until we removed the trans, there just isnt the room, unless you take the crossmember off or take the tcase apart. It took us about 5 hours to take it out, but we were taking our time, and it was the first time it came out.

The turn-around he told me was 4 days. Not bad at all.

I love these threads where guys are turning wrenches in their own garage. That's what owning a EVO is all about
